A frustrating app

Ive spent 1.5 hours trying to access Alexa on Amazon Echo with no success. Roger keeps telling me that Im connected but there is no evidence of such that I can find on any page of the Roger app. I just want to talk to Alexa, not all of my contact list.
The user interface is very poor and not intuitive in my judgement. And I use a lot of apps so I have experience. Very frustrating. A big circular path with little help.
Id rate this a 1 except Im giving the app a little slack.
